VICTORIEI 222

Located on Calea Victoriei, the project explores the possibilities of the existing built stock and the flexibility of the spaces. Thus, the building, with a rich functional history, went from a collective housing project to office space, reinventing itself now in the form of a hotel.

The only functional constant remained the commercial spaces on the ground floor.

Status: Ongoing
Year: 2019
Location: Bucharest, Romania
Client: S.C. SOL PROPERTY INVESTMENT SRL

The functional adaptations are strongly impressed on the facade. The curtain wall typical of the 90s-2000s is replaced with the geometric rhythm of the windows shot in a contemporary language. The window casings bring a precious note by using brass on the inside.

The attraction of the reconfiguration is the restaurant located on the last level of the building, offering a unique aerial view of the city.
