Office & Fitout 2018

AMZ OFFICE

Status: Built
Year: 2018
Location: Bucharest, Romania
Built area: 6.000 sqm
Budget: 7.8 mil euro
Concept: HOK Architects
Partner in charge: arch. Elena Dragu
Team: arch. Alexandru Năstase, arch. George Nițoiu

The concept of this project was drafted by HOK, with the aim to create welcoming, familiar places that will positively stimulate the employees. This concept is sustained by a base palette with high contrasts and bold color accents, local street art influences as well as traditionally inspired graphics.

The furniture selection indicates yet another contrast, balancing soft, organic, inviting forms with sculptural, geometric table forms. The artwork and branding that references local graffiti, the brightness of the space defined by light walls and ceilings and beige-grey floors, together with the comfortable lounge seating and functional breakout furniture - all are key points in defining the IT office fitout.

NEW HERITAGE - 3rd place winner for the 2025 Biennale di Venezia Competition

We are excited to announce the groundbreaking of our ambitious project for the renewal of an existing building within Făgăraș protected area. The proposal seeks to honor the architectural heritage of the site while transforming it into a refined three-star hotel. What if architecture could do more than create spaces—what if it could forge connections? Our proposal celebrates Romania’s unique cultural landscapes, where nature and tradition coexist in harmony. This vision reclaims sustainable construction and community-driven practices, reshaping architecture as a mediator between humanity and the natural world. Construction thus becomes a communal act, bringing people together whilst architecture isn’t just built—it’s lived, shared, and sustained.
