The headquarters of "Universul" Newspaper in the neo-Romanesque palace (Unit A) and the printing house (Unit B) marked a fundamental space for Romania's modernization process. Its rehabilitation triggered the creation of a cultural pole in the heart of the city.

The original industrial structure dating from 1930, with wide concrete openings of 10 x 5m was suitable to accommodate any fit-out plans required by the tenants.
